i would say no as being haploid means it only has half the amount of chromosomes a normal organism would have, which sould be diploid. as the fungi in question only has a haploid amount of genes, there would be less varyiation amongst the species. therefore, the species would not succeed if the environment were to change and so they would not be able to adapt as much due to the limited gene pool
