I have a broken Playstation 2 Game.....?

Alright. So I have a Playstation 2 game, Jak 3, and it has about a 2 inch scratch on it, but not very deep at all. There is a little paint scd off the front, but I don't know if there are any scratches there. Whenever I put it in, it plays fine for like half a minute then stops working. Is there any way that I can repair it at home, and even better, without buying anything? Or could someone just tell me where I could get another Jak 3 game? Thanks.
