Scottish question. Is Alex Salmond right or wrong to seek to block debate in Scotland?

Given that the SNP is a major party within the Union then he has a point. Independence is something that should be debated as it has significant consequences for the UK. If the Tories win the next election then this will marginalise Scottish Labour and drive Scotland towards independence.
